Frequently Asked Questions
Below you will find answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about cost, sessions, telehealth, insurance, payment methods, and services for children.
What is the cost?
My fee is $190 per session.
How long are the sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
Are your sessions by telehealth or in an office?
My patients and I have found that there are many advantages to telehealth. So, I now serve my patients exclusively by telehealth. You can read more about this on my Telehealth page.
Do you accept insurance?
I have a very full practice, so like many providers, I've opted out of the insurance networks. If you would like to access your insurance benefits, I'll be happy to provide you with detailed receipts for your use in filing claims for out-of-network benefits.
How do I file for out-of-network benefits?
I have a handout that provides help with this, but basically you request reimbursement from your insurance company using a claim form that they give you and the receipts that I give you.
Do you accept credit cards?
Yes. Payment can be made with Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and American Express.
Can you help my child?
Working with young adults is some of the most rewarding work that I do, but I do not work with people under the age of 18.
Can you help me with my concerns about my child?
Yes. While I don't see children or adolescents in my practice, I do work with parents who are seeking help with concerns about their children. I can also provide you with referrals to practitioners who do see children and adolescents.
Please feel free to call me with any other questions at all. I'll be very happy to talk with you and to help you in every way possible.
My phone number is 847-382-0600.
